Welcome!
What is C34L.com? Unofficially, C34L is shorthand for Cass County Campaign for Liberty. However, due to copyright restrictions we're not allowed to use "Campaign for Liberty" in the name, so let's just call it a place that Cass County members of The Campaign for Liberty can use to find links to the main websites of relevance to our local group...
The important links:
- Campaign for Liberty - Cass County (our group!).
- The main Campaign for Liberty website, (register if you haven't already)!
- Upgrade your free membership here and become a Local Coordinator!
- Campaign for Liberty - North Dakota, (information specific to North Dakota).
- Campaign for Liberty - Minnesota, (information specific to Minnesota).
- Campaign for Liberty's YouTube Channel.
- Click here to find your legislative district, polling place, precinct, etc.
- The Valley Grassroots, the evolution of the original meetup group.
Recommendations for New Members:
- Join the Campaign for Liberty. Registration is free.
- Come to the meetings! Check the calendar on the C4L Cass County site for time and location (and PLEASE RSVP on the site so we can better plan for adequate facilities). We currently meet quarterly.
- Join a committee or suggest a new one. Most of our activities will be driven by the individual committees.
- If you can, sign up to be a Local Coordinator. There is a $35 cost involved but it does come with perks like a discount in the C4L store and access to special tools on the website. If you're already a free member and wish to upgrade, click here. We need Local Coordinators!
Mission Statement:
The mission of the Campaign for Liberty is to promote and defend the great American principles of individual liberty, constitutional government, sound money, free markets, and a non-interventionist foreign policy, by means of educational and political activity. There is a more thorough explanation in our flier, linked here.
A brief history of our group.
During the Ron Paul presidential campaign, meetup groups started popping up all across the United States (and the world). Grassroots people coming together to support the ideals of Liberty Ron Paul represented. One of those meetup groups was here in Fargo, ND. It turned out to be one of the most active and energetic groups in the country. When the presidential campaign was over, we were ready to fight on.
The grassroots movement raised record amounts of money for the Ron Paul campaign. When it was done, he used what was left over to fund a new organization called The Campaign for Liberty (C4L for short). There are C4L groups in every state, with local groups forming in more and more counties and districts every day. That's where we came in. Our County is Cass County North Dakota, and we do have a website on the national C4L site. However, because the national C4L website is still a bit cumbersome to use, it's proven hard for members to find what they're looking for (which is the main reason for this page). The links above will take you directly to the pages you need.
Our Cass County group is part of a larger local liberty movement. Other C4L groups are forming in our larger cities. Since we are on the Minnesota border, many members of the original meetup group are on the Minnesota side which also has active C4L groups. The original Ron Paul meetup group has evolved into The Vally Grassroots, formed by some of the original leaders of the meetup group. Their brand statement is "Through education, outreach and information sharing we seek to attract the like-minded and shepherd them towards opportunities that help defend the principles of liberty, peace and prosperity". They have an excellent website that is another great place for news, discussions, and connections to other local liberty minded groups.
We're a mixed bunch and we don't agree on everything - but we support each other and we are all passionate about freedom. Join us!
